RESOLUTION NO. 02 - 116
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING RAYMOND P. MERRY, ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH
DIRECTOR, TO SIGN A GRANT APPLICATION FOR SUBMISSION TO THE UNITED
STATES ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY (USEPA) TO CONTINUE A
GROUNDWATER SENSITIVITY AND VULNERABILITY STUDY.
WHEREAS, on or about January 5, 2001, County of Eagle, State of Colorado, indicated
an interest in studying ground water sensitivity and vulnerability in the Eagle River Watershed
by submitting a grant proposal to the USEPA; and
WHEREAS, on or about May 25, 2001, the USEPA indicated Eagle County, Colorado
be recommended for Federal RGI funding in the amount of $25,000 for the proposal titled
"Groundwater Sensitivity and Vulnerability Assessment for the Eagle River Watershed"; and
WHEREAS, on or about July 11, 2002, the USEPA indicated Eagle County, Colorado
be recommended for additional Federal RGI finding in the amount of $29,000 for the proposed
titled "Groundwater Sensitivity and Vulnerability Assessment for the Eagle River Watershed ";
and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners for Eagle County, Colorado
(hereinafter the "Board "), wishes to pursue this Federal funding; and
WHEREAS, the Board desires to authorize Raymond P. Merry, Environmental Health
Director, to sign the application and to execute any and all documents necessary to complete the
application process with the USEPA for the above stated purpose.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF THE COUNTY OF EAGLE, STATE OF COLORADO:
THAT, the Board of County Commissioners hereby authorizes Raymond P. Merry,
Environmental Health Director, to execute any and all documents necessary to make application
to the USEPA for the Federal RGI funding to initiate the "Groundwater Sensitivity and
Vulnerability Assessment for the Eagle River Watershed ".
THAT, the Board hereby finds, determines and declares that this Resolution is necessary
for the public health, safety and welfare of the residents of the County of Eagle, State of
Colorado.
MOVED, READ AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of the
County of Eagle, State of Colorado, at its regular meeting held the 67&j-day of

determines to materially alter the Agreement, shall void the Agreement.
