BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
COUNTY OF EAGLE, STATE OF COLORADO
RESOLUTION NO. 84--)2-
ADOPTION OF THE UNIFORM FIRE CODE FOR THE GREATER
EAGLE FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the "Special
District Act," more specifically 32- 1- 1002(1)(d), C.R.S., the
Board of Directors of the Greater Eagle Fire Protection District
( "District ") has adopted by reference the Uniform Fire Code,
1982 edition as published by the Western Fire Chiefs'
Association and the International Conference of Building
Officials, and as amended by the District as set forth in
Exhibit A attached hereto and incorporated herein by this
reference, for enforcement within the District's boundaries; and
WHEREAS, the District has determined that the adoption
of the aforementioned fire code is necessary and will promote
the health, safety, prosperity, security and general welfare of
the inhabitants of the District; and
WHEREAS, the District has requested the Board of County
Commissioners of the County of Eagle, State of Colorado
( "Board "), to validate the applicability of the aforementioned
fire code within all areas of the District located within the
County of Eagle, State of Colorado, in accordance with the
provisions of Section 32- 1- 1002(1)(d), C.R.S.; and
WHEREAS, the Board did on March 28, 1984, consider the
aforementioned matter, including the taking of evidence
regarding the need for and applicability of the aforementioned
fire code, at which meeting all interested parties were afforded
an opportunity to be heard; and

WHEREAS, the Board has fully considered the testimony
and other evidence presented to it in this matter.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
Commissioners of the County of Eagle, State of Colorado:
THAT, pursuant to the provisions of Section
32- 1- 1002(1)(d), C.R.S., the Uniform Fire Code, 1982 edition, as
published by the Western Fire Chiefs' Association and the
International Conference of Building Officials, and as amended
by the District as set forth in Exhibit A, shall be fully
applicable within all areas of the Greater Eagle Fire Protection
District located within the unincorporated areas of the County
of Eagle, State of Colorado.
MOVED, READ AND ADOPTED by the Board of County
Commissioners of the County of Eagle, State of Colorado, at its
regular meeting held the day of March, 1984.

RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE
GREATER EAGLE FIRE, PRO T=ION DISTRICT
ADOPTING THE UNIFORM FIRE CODE OF 1982
Whereas, the Board is empowered by CRS, 32 -1 -1002 to adopt fire
codes; and
whereas, the Board has considered the Uniform Fire Code of 1982,
as published by the International Conference of Building Officials and
the Western Fire Chiefs Association; and
1,1hereas, notice of this meeting and of the proposed adoption of this
code has been given as required by law, and the public has been given an
opportunity to be heard on this matter; and
Whereas, the Board finds that adoption of this Code, as amended
below, would serve the interests of the public health, safety and welfare
within the District;
Na)7, therefore, be it resolved by the Board of Directors of the
Greater Eagle Fire Protection District that the Uniform Fire Code, 1982
Edition, as published by the International Conference of Building Officials
and The Western Fire Chief's Association, as amended below, be adopted and
enforced within this District.
It is further resolved that the following amendments to the nublished
version of this rode be adopted:
1. Each day during a violation of this Code shall be deemed a separate
offense.
2. Violations of this Code are a misdemeanor, and may be punished by
a fine of up to $300.00, and by imprisonment of up to 90 days in jail.
3. Legal proceedings concerning violations of this code may be held in
the municipal court of a municipality within which a violation occurs, or

in the Eagle County Court, or the Eagle County District Court. They may
be prosecuted by the municipal attorney, for proceedings in municipal
court, by the District Attorney or County Attorney in other courts, or
in anv court by counsel designated by the District.
It is further resolved that the District's President contact the
Eagle County Commissioners and the municipalities within the District,
requesting that they also adopt this Code, as required by lac.
Read and passed by the Board of Directors of the Greater Eagle
Fire Protection District, by a vote of 5 in the affirmative and C
in the negative, this 14th day of March, 1934.
