They installed two, 15Wgallon, precast, concrete septic tanks in series. The first tank had one compartment and the second had two compartments. Eighty-one, infiltrator chambers were installed in six trenches. The first four trenches had 16 infiltrators each, the fifthtrench had nine and the last trench had eight infiltrators. Horizontal distance was 11.5 feet from center to center of the trenches. Inspection ports were installed its the first and last infiltrator of each trench_ The depth of the ftnohes was 32 inches. Vernon Rd EAGLE COUNTY golden CO 80401 COMMUNITY DPWLOPMENT RE: REQUIREMENTS for a Transient Non -Community Drinking Water System, Ground Water Source, Eagle County Dear Water Purveyor: Information supplied to this office indicates the River Dance RV Park should be classified as a non - community public water system. A non -community water system is defined by the Colorado Primary Drinking Water Regulations (CPDWR) as "a system serving 25 or more different people per day for at least 60 days per year." As a public water system, you are, therefore, subject to the laws set forth by the above regulations. Your Public Water System ID number is PWSID# 219675. BACTERIOLOGICAL: The above establishment must collect and have analyzed at least one bacteriological sample each month while open for business. If the water system is open even one day during the month, a sample must be collected in that month. Sampling must begin during the month of June 2001. NITRATE/NITRITE: A sample of your treated water must be analyzed for Nitrate/Nitrite as Nitrogen at least once each year while you are open for business. Sampling must be done in the Third Quarter of 2001. DISINFECTION: All drinking water supplied from public water systems will be disinfected by means or methods which are approved by this Department and are effective in the killing or removal of pathogenic organisms. Most systems use chlorination to disinfect their water supplies. Disinfection equipment must be in place and operating within sixty days from the date of this letter. Changes in treatment should be submitted to and approved by this office prior to installation. Box 179 Eagle, Colorado 81631 Subject: ISDS Permit Number 2086-01, Dear Ray: I have been in contact with the owner of the above referenced ISDS, Rusty Mosher. Mr. Mosher has requested that the permitted system be upgraded to increase it's treatment efficiency. Due to the fine texture of the soil present in the absorption area, it is my opinion that long term operation of the system will be enhanced through a uniform application of clarified effluent to the soil. The most pragmatic manner in which uniform application can be achieved is with a pressure distribution system. As you recall, the system currently consists of two 1500 gallon septic tanks and a serial distribution drainfield. I am requesting permission to retrofit the drainfield with a pressure distribution network using 1.5 inch diameter PVC laterals with 3/16"orifices drilled at 5' intervals. Effluent will be transported to the drainfield with two 2" diameter PVC mains. Dosing will be accomplished with two Myers ME series effluent pumps installed within the 500 gallon compartment of the last tank. A single control panel equipped with alternating relay, event counters and elapsed time meters will control and record pump operation. Flushing assemblies and cleanouts will be installed on the terminal end of each lateral. The Infiltrator chambers will remain exactly as they have been constructed. I will be on -site with the owner constructing the system and will provide you with a record drawing documenting the installation. any comments you may have regarding this or other projects. Thomas J. Kallenbach, P.E. Colorado Registration 33633 F L U I D Y N E Scientists • Engineers - Inventors December 12, 2001 Eagle County Environmental Health Attention: Ray Merry Subject: River Dance Resort, ISDS completion Dear Ray: Please accept this letter as confirmation of completion of the Individual septic and disposal system serving River Dance River Dance Resort. As you recall, the system was modified from its original design to incorporate a pressure distribution network. Periodic construction inspections and a final on -site inspection have been conducted to insure compliance with the conditions of the permit. Justin Buchanan conducted a pressure test of the system on November 9, 2001 and determined the system is functioning according to the approved plans and specifications. Enclosed, please find a copy of the record drawings providing details of the system as installed. If I can answer any questions please c at your convenience. P0 R£/S Si erely, .
