This system is designed to serve a new 4 bedroom primary residence. During construction of the new residence, the septic tank installed under ISDS1295-93 will be used as a vault until such time as the new residence is completed. The vault must conform to the Temporary Vault Design Criteria outlined on the March2, 2018 LKP design drawings and must be abandoned in accordance with 43.9 (C.) of the Eagle County Public Health Agency OWTS Regulations when the existing home is demolished. The design engineer must be contacted to inspect and approve the temporary vault prior to use. Engineer approval that the vault is properly capped and alarm system is functional must be submitted to Eagle County Environmental Health. The new OWTS consists of a 1,500 gallon, two compartment Valley Precast septic tank and1,000 square feet of soil treatment area(prior 30% trench adjustment) via the installation of 59 Infiltrator Quick 4 Plus Standard chambers, placed in 3 shallow trenches with serial distribution as shown on the design drawing. Be sure to encase the effluent line as detailed on the design drawing where it crosses the irrigation ditch. Contact the design engineer and Eagle County Environmental Health when ready for inspections. The design engineer is responsible for conducting all inspections necessary for system certification. Tank alarm submittal is attached. We mounted a 5’ length of 7/8” unistrut to the side of the extension ring at the top of the tank. The unistrut extends to the bottom of the tank. We mounted the float to the unistrut and adjusted it to alarm when the level reaches 12” from overflow. The alarm box was mounted to a post next to the tank lid. We tested the alarm, both siren and light after the line voltage was installed. All worked fine. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks, Jack Sibley Whitewater Plumbing and Heating Inc. P.O. To make sure we are all on the same page and that I am understanding correctly, it appears from that the design for the new main house is completed and ready for review. That being so, we will permit the temporary use of the vault, and subsequent abandonment of it after the new house and OWTS are constructed, along with the new design all under one new installation permit. For the excavator, that is one application for the new installation for the main house and the temporary use of the vault, and $800 fee. Second, the pond house is going to connect to the existing OWTS that is attached to the Guest House/Barn permitted under 11-16-15870, with a separate tank connecting to the STA that was designed to serve this addition. For the excavator completing the application submittal, that is a second application for the alteration and a fee of $400. Let me know if I missed something. [Quoted text hidden] -- Claire E.
