MERRY, REHS Manager For the soil treatment area at the secondary residence, we recommend that the trenches are excavated 4 feet, through the topsoil and blocky clay and into the sandy gravel with cobbles and boulder. We also recommend that one (1) foot of concrete sand be placed in the bottom of each trench. The infiltrator chambers will then be constructed on top of the sand filter. !
