Permitted Construction /Details:
Installation of the OWTS as designed by Brock Civil, LLC, stamped, signed and dated May17 ,2018 by
Vern L.Brock, PE.The OWTS is designed to serve a two bedroom accessory dwelling unit above a
garage.
The system consists of a 1,000 gallon Valley Precast, two compartment septic tank with effluent screen
on the outlet tee and 375 square feet of soil treatment area (prior to adjusting 30%for the use of
chambers)via the installation of one row of22 Infiltrator Quick 4 Plus Standard chambers. The design
mentions serial distribution which cannot be accomplished using one, single trench.
NOTE:Prior to installation, the design engineer must observe a soil profile pit excavated to an 8' depth
down-gradient of the proposed soil treatment area (STA)to verify the USDA soil type and adequate
vertical separation to any confining layers. In addition, prior to installing the new sewer line, the existing
STA for the main residence, originally permitted under ISDS962, must be located to insure that the new
sewer line will not encroach on the existing STA.The site grading shown on the design drawing is not
part of the OWTS installation and as such, must be approved or exempted by the Eagle COunty
Engineering Department.
Contact Eagle County Environmental Health and the design engineer well in advance to conduct
inspections. All inspections necessary to certify the system must be performed by the design engineer .
System certification along with photos and record drawing must be submitted to, and approved by, Eagle
County Environmental Health prior to occupancy of the accessory dwelling unit or use of the system.

RE: Final approval of the: Septic System Installation, OWTS-2-18-18464 Property location: 467
Kaibab Road, Eagle, Colorado.
Mr. Farren:
This letter is to inform you that the above-referenced, OWTS-2-18-18464 permit, has been
inspected and finalized. This OWTS permit was approved and sized to serve the 2 bedrooms,
ADU (accessible dwelling unit), above the garage.
Additional information about the maintenance your septic system needs can be accessed
through our website links, provided on the Environmental Health Department’s septic system
resource page.
Be aware that changes in the use of your property or alterations of your building may require
commensurate changes to, or relocation of, your septic system . Landscape features, trees with
tap roots, irrigation systems and parking areas above the soil treatment area can cause
premature system failure. It is equally important that you notice and immediately repair
dripping faucets and hissing toilets as this will certainly cause the system to fail.
If you have any questions regarding this information, please contact us at (970) 328-8755 and
reference the OWTS septic permit number.
Best Regards,
Giovanna Harkay.
