The existing OWTS was designed and permitted to treat 750 gallons per day (gpd). Based on the permitted June 2018 plans from Alm Architects, the existing residence only has three bedrooms, accounting for 450 gpd. Alm Architects is proposing building a detached guest house consisting of 2 bedrooms and connecting the sanitary sewer to the existing OWTS. This 2 bedroom addition makes 39 Borah Spur a 5 bedroom house generating 600 gpd of wastewater. JVA has reviewed the design and certifies that the existing OWTS was appropriately designed to handle this additional flow.
