Permitted Construction / Details:
Install the new system exactly as depicted in the LKP Inc design dated, stamped and signed on June 12th, 2023 by
Luiza Petrovska, PE. This system is designed to completely replace the system originally permitted under #0685IS
and will accommodate the maximum daily flows for a 2 bedroom residence. Abandonment of the existing tank must
be completed in conformance with ECPHA OWTS Regulation 43.9.C.
The OWTS consists of one sewer line from the residence. An Infiltrator IM-1060, two-compartment poly septic tank
with an effluent filter in the outlet tee followed by an Infiltrator IM-540 single compartment poly septic tank equipped
with an Orenco PF500511 high head pump assemble will be used. If concrete tanks are available, a 3 compartment
concrete tank will be used instead. The pump will be set to dose 90 gallons per dose. The STA consists of one bed
with four rows of 8 Infiltrator Quick4 Plus Standard chambers for a total of 32. The native soils will be excavated,
mixed and replaced in the bed.
A licensed installer has not been identified. No person shall install, renovate, or repair an OWTS in Eagle County
(EC) without a valid EC Systems Contractor License. Any person that conducts a business as a systems contractor
without having obtained a valid license section commits a Class 1 petty offense as defined in section 18-1.3-503,
C.R.S. Please notify the department when an installer is identified, prior to installation of the OWTS.
Contact Eagle County Environmental Health and the design engineer well in advance of requesting inspections prior
to backfilling any component of the OWTS. The design engineer is responsible for conducting all inspections
necessary to certify the installation and assure the functionality of the system. System certification, along with
photos and a record drawing is required to be submitted to and approved by Eagle County Environmental Health
prior to the use of the system or occupancy of the dwelling.

RE: Inspection of Septic System Installation
2-Brm, Goodwin Residence - New OWTS
Lot 1, JD River Ranches Subdivision
Parcel Number: 1689-084-01-001

Project No. 22-3655 – OWTS-027214-2023
Dear Jeff:
At the request of the septic system installer, Travor Dunsdon, Alpha Excavation, LLC on September
28, 2023, we visited your property on Lot 1, JD River Ranches Subdivision, Parcel Number: 1689-084-
01-001, 18321 HWY 131, Eagle County, Colorado. The purpose of our site visit was to inspect the
installation of the septic system.
The system was installed in overall compliance with the septic system design, Drawing No. 22-
3655OWTS.dwg, dated June 12, 2023. At the time of the inspection, we observed the following:
They installed 1000-gallons, three-compartment, precast, concrete septic tank, by Valley Precast with
an effluent filter in the second compartment, and an Orenco PF500511 high-head pump assembly in the third
compartment. The effluent filter had the handle extended close to the top of the riser. The pump tank access
ports had 24-inch, corrugated, plastic risers with insulated and secured, green, plastic covers. The control panel
was installed against the existing, timber retaining wall, between the house and the septic tank.
The effluent line from the pump chamber to end manifold of the soil treatment area, was about 47-feet
long, 1.5-inch diameter, sch40 pvc pipe. The end manifold was about 9-feet long, 1.5-inch sch40 pvc. The soil
treatment area consisted of infiltrator chambers arranged in a bed configuration with four rows of 8 Quick Four
Plus Standard Infiltrator Chambers in each. Two feet of the onsite material was excavated, mixed, and
backfilled into the excavated bed. Pressure dosing system consisting of 32-ft, 1.25-inch sch40 laterals
perforated at the top with 1/8-inch holes at 4-ft intervals, suspended from the side of each row of infiltrator
chambers. The ends of the laterals were equipped with flushing assemblies. A squirt test was performed during
the inspection, and it was satisfactory. Four inspection ports were installed (in the end caps of the first and last
chamber of outside rows of infiltrators) in the openings opposite the pressure distribution lines.
The system installation and the startup of the pump system were done by the installer, Travor
Dunsdon, Alpha Excavation, LLC. Kirk Weems, ECEH Department, was present during the inspection.
There is no other warranty either expressed or implied.
Sincerely,
LKP Engineering, Inc.

RE: Soil and Site Evaluation –
2-Brm, Goodwin Residence - New OWTS
Lot 1, JD River Ranches Subdivision
Parcel Number: 1689-084-01-001
18321 HWY 131

Project No. 22-3655
Dear Jeff:
Following is the soil/site evaluation for the proposed Onsite Wastewater Treatment
System (OWTS) replacement for the existing, two-bedroom residence, on Lot 1, JD River
Ranches Subdivision, Parcel Number: 1689-084-01-001, 18321 Highway 131, Eagle County,
Colorado.
The proposed system a replacement system for an existing, two-bedroom residence. The
failed septic tank will be removed and disposed, according to the ECEH department regulations,
OWTS #43.9C.1 - Abandonment of Tank. The proposed new system will consist of a three-
compartment, concrete septic tank, or Infiltrator tanks, IM-1060 with two compartments, and
IM-540, one compartment. An effluent filter will be installed in the tee of the second
compartment, and an Orenco Pump assembly will be installed in the third compartment of the 3-
compartment, concrete tank (if that what is used), or the single compartment of the infiltrator
tank IM-540.
The Soil Treatment Area STA, will consist of a bed with four rows with 8 Quick 4 Plus,
Standard Infiltrator Chambers, for a total of 32 infiltrator chambers. The soil below the infiltrator
chambers will be improved by excavating two feet of the existing soil, mixing, and placing it
back in the excavation, per the requirements of the OWTS #43 regulations, soil Type 2, Option
2, Treatment Level 3. The infiltrator chambers will be installed over two feet of the on-site,
overexcavated silty, gravelly sand, mixed, and placed back into the excavation. The effluent will
be applied with pressure dosing with an Orenco Pump.

grass. surface. To the north, east, and south of the leachfield, the
vegetation was similar. The area to the west of the proposed STA, (back of
the existing garage) had gravel covered
G Natural and cultural features: The property is within the Colorado River
watershed area, and it is on the west bank of the river, north of Dotsero,
Colorado.
G Current and historic land use: The current use is residential and ranching.
It appears that previous use was similar.
! Detailed Soil Investigation
G Visual and tactile evaluation of two or more soil profile test pit
excavation; two profile holes were observed and logged and visual and
tactile evaluation test was done.
G Percolation tests plus one or more soil profile holes or one or more profile
