The purpose of our site visit was to inspect the installation of the septic system. The system was installed in overall compliance with the septic system design, Drawing No. 22- 3655OWTS.dwg, dated June 12, 2023. At the time of the inspection, we observed the following: They installed 1000-gallons, three-compartment, precast, concrete septic tank, by Valley Precast with an effluent filter in the second compartment, and an Orenco PF500511 high-head pump assembly in the third compartment. The effluent filter had the handle extended close to the top of the riser. The pump tank access ports had 24-inch, corrugated, plastic risers with insulated and secured, green, plastic covers. The control panel was installed against the existing, timber retaining wall, between the house and the septic tank. The effluent line from the pump chamber to end manifold of the soil treatment area, was about 47-feet long, 1.5-inch diameter, sch40 pvc pipe. The end manifold was about 9-feet long, 1.5-inch sch40 pvc. The soil treatment area consisted of infiltrator chambers arranged in a bed configuration with four rows of 8 Quick Four Plus Standard Infiltrator Chambers in each. Two feet of the onsite material was excavated, mixed, and backfilled into the excavated bed. Pressure dosing system consisting of 32-ft, 1.25-inch sch40 laterals perforated at the top with 1/8-inch holes at 4-ft intervals, suspended from the side of each row of infiltrator chambers. The ends of the laterals were equipped with flushing assemblies. A squirt test was performed during the inspection, and it was satisfactory. Four inspection ports were installed (in the end caps of the first and last chamber of outside rows of infiltrators) in the openings opposite the pressure distribution lines. The system installation and the startup of the pump system were done by the installer, Travor Dunsdon, Alpha Excavation, LLC. Kirk Weems, ECEH Department, was present during the inspection. There is no other warranty either expressed or implied. Sincerely, LKP Engineering, Inc. The proposed system a replacement system for an existing, two-bedroom residence. The failed septic tank will be removed and disposed, according to the ECEH department regulations, OWTS #43.9C.1 - Abandonment of Tank. The proposed new system will consist of a three- compartment, concrete septic tank, or Infiltrator tanks, IM-1060 with two compartments, and IM-540, one compartment. An effluent filter will be installed in the tee of the second compartment, and an Orenco Pump assembly will be installed in the third compartment of the 3- compartment, concrete tank (if that what is used), or the single compartment of the infiltrator tank IM-540. The Soil Treatment Area STA, will consist of a bed with four rows with 8 Quick 4 Plus, Standard Infiltrator Chambers, for a total of 32 infiltrator chambers. The soil below the infiltrator chambers will be improved by excavating two feet of the existing soil, mixing, and placing it back in the excavation, per the requirements of the OWTS #43 regulations, soil Type 2, Option 2, Treatment Level 3. The infiltrator chambers will be installed over two feet of the on-site, overexcavated silty, gravelly sand, mixed, and placed back into the excavation. The effluent will be applied with pressure dosing with an Orenco Pump. ! Preliminary Investigation G Address: 18321 Highway 131, Eagle County, Colorado G Legal Description: Lot 1, JD River Ranches Subdivision, Parcel Number: 1689-084-01-001, Eagle County, Colorado. G Existing Structures: There are is an existing, two - bedroom, residence. G Location of existing and proposed wells on property: There is an existing well, located south of the residence, and east of the driveway. G ECEHD (Eagle County Environmental Health Department) records: We did not find records of existing septic system on the property. As far as we know there is an existing septic tank, that is failing.
