WHEREAS, It has been determined to be in the best interests
• of the taxpayers and employees of Eagle County to provide for
the retirement of employees under certain terms and conditions;
and
WHEREAS, Eagle County has previously elected to become
a part of the Colorado County Officials and Employees Retirement
Association in accordance with Chapter 111, Article 9, Colorado
Revised Statutes 1963, as amended; and
WHEREAS, A retirement plan has been adopted by the Governing
Board of said association and ratified by the individual member
counties of the Association, including EAGJE County, said
Retirement Plan 's effective date being July 1, 1968.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
• 1. The Board of County Commissioners of Eagle County
hereby elect to fund the county portion of contributions on behalf
of those employees who are participants under the Plan at the rate
of three per cent of said employees ' compensation.
2. (Optional) The Board of County Commissioners of
County hereby elect to fund for five years of prior service for
eligible employees at three per cent per year , said back funding
to be accomplished within five years, as set forth in the
Retirement Plan.
3. The Board of County Commissioners will monthly, com-
mencing August 1, 1968, draw a warrant on the County Officials and
Employees Retirement Fund for the county' s contribution under the
Retirement Plan and remit same, together with the employees ' retire-
ment withholding, to the Secretary of the Retirement Association,
made payable to the Trustee under the Plan, The Denver-U.S. National
