HomeMy WebLinkAboutR1947-05 Creation of Fire Fund 41 01 RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS 111 OF EAGLE COUNTY, COLORADO WHEREAS, The Sheriff and other county personnel have been doing certain work towards the prevention and suppression of forest fires in our county of which it is impractical to keep definite expense records; and WHEREAS, The Federal Government, acting under the Clarke-MoNary Act, partially reimburses certain cooperating agencies acting under the authority of an agreement, with the State Board of • - Forestry, for protection of State and privately owned fprest lands; and WHEREAS, Eagle County, being one of the above mentioned agencies is entitled to recognition of expenditures of time made by County. ' personnel in fire prevention and suppression activities. BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, By the Board of County Commisdonera, of • Eagle County, Colorado, seated in regular session this 7th day of April , 1947 ; that, a fire fund be created in the amount of Nine Hundred Dollars ($900.00) annually for the purpose of fire prevention and fire suppression activities, outside of town and civic boundaries, within said County of Eagle. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That four months of the Sheriff's salary of Two Hundred Dollars ($200.00) per month, be paid from said fire fund, as a proportionate amount of his time, applied to fire pre- vention and fire suppression work in the county. • READ, CONSIDERED AND APPROVED this 7th day of April, 1947.
