HomeMy WebLinkAboutR1947-02 Fire Fund SUGGESTED RESOLUTION FOR COUNTY COMMISSIONERS Re: FIRE FUND WHEREAS, The Sheriff and other county personnel have been doing certain work towards the prevention and suppression of forest fires in our county or which it is impractical to keep definite expense records, and WHEREAS, The Federal Government, acting under the Clarke-MoNary Act, partially reimburses certain cooperating agencies noting under the authority of an agreement, with the State Board of Forestry, for protection of State and privately owned forest lands, and WUREAS, County, being one of the above mentioned agencies is entitled to recognition of expenditures of time made by County personnel in fire prevention and suppression activities. BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Board of County Commissioners, of County, Colorado, seated in regular session this day of 1947.; that, a fire fund be crested in the amount of annually for the purpose of fire prevention and fire suppression activities, outside of town and civic boundaries, within said County of . BE IT YURTUR RESOLVED, That four months of the Sheriff's salary of $_,._ per month, be paid from said fire fund, as a proportionate amount of his time, applied to fire prevention and fire suppression work in the county.
