RE: IN THE MATTER OF EAGLE COUNTY COMPLIANCE WITH THE 1974
AMENDMENTS TO THE FAIR LABOR STANDARDS ACT OF 1938.

i9 WHEREAS, pursuant to law, the Board of County Commissioners
of Eagle County, Colorado, is vested with the responsibility of
administering the affairs of Eagle County, Colorado; and
WHEREAS , the 1974 amendments to the Fair Labor Standards Act
lof 1938 extended minimum wage and overtime coverage to Federal,
; State and Municipal Government Employees; and
WHEREAS, Eagle County, Colorado, is required to comply with
all provisions of both the Act and all amendments thereto, and
hthe provisions of the State statute covering payment of overtime
amended in 1975, effective January 1, 1976
WHEREAS , those non-exempt County employees , as defined by
hhe Act, are eligible for overtime pay at the rate of time and
,. a half for each hour worked in excess of 40 hours per week which
` was not paid from May 1, 1974 through December 31, 1975
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that overtime compensation for!
the period of May 1, 1974 through December 31, 1975 be ascertain-(
4 ed and paid to covered employees for said period
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that claims for such compensation
be submitted by the employees affected on or before April 1,1976
Sand that approved vouchers be paid at the regular April meeting
prof the Board at which wages are paid
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that all Department Heads of the
! County shall be charged with keeping adequate records for all
employees, including making such investigations, inspections,
n and other pertinent rulings or regulations as may be required
from time to time .
The above and foregoing Resolution was , on motion duly made
; and seconded, adopted on the 2nd day of February, 1976.
