Box 179 Eagle, CO 81631 Re: Hangar ##4, Eagle County Airport, ISDS HCE File Number 96004.17 Dear Mr. Merry: We have been requested by B & B Plumbing to comment on the wastewater system for the proposed Hangar #4 located at the Eagle County Airport. We understand that the county will not allow a conventional Individual Sewage Disposal System with a septic tank and leach field because of the possibility of a fuel or chemical spill entering the ground at the leachfaeld. Therefore, the only remaining option appears to be the construction of a wastewater holding tank. This is probably a reasonable option since our understanding is that there ds no water service to the building, and any flow to the holding tank will be occasional and minimal _ In view of the above, a 1000 gallon holding tank should be adequate. The owner may also wish to consider an interior sand trap for the floor drain, although this probably isn't necessary. The alarm system that was called for was not in place, however, we understand that the contractor has since installed that system.
