Be aware that later changes to your building may require appropriate alterations of your septic
system. This system will also accomodate the main residence once it has been built. Our office
will need engineer verification of the sewer line connection from the main house, once this has
been completed.

Systems designed by a Registered Professional Engineer must be certified by the Engineer
indicating that the system was installed as specified. Eagle County does not perform final
inspections on engineer designed systems. Your TCO will not be issued until our office
receives this certification.
Permit specifications are minimum requirements only, and should be brought to the property
owner's attention.
This permit does not indicate conformance with other Eagle County requirements.

,At the request from Mr. Kit Reid, from Gophir Excavating, on September 5, 6, and 9,1996, we
visited the construction site on Lot 3, Ilighiand Meadow Estates at Castle Peak Ranch in Eagle County,
Colorado. The Purpose of our site visits was to observe the installation of the septic system.
The system was installed in overall compliance with the septic system design, Drawing No.
9627SI).DWO, dated May 22,1996. The system was connected to the Barn/Caretaker Unit. Construction on
the main residence has not started yet. They installed two 1000-gallon, precast concrete septic tanks. The first
tank was with one compartment by Copland Concrete and the second was with two compartments by Grand
Junctim Pipe. The tanks were level. Sewer cleanout was installed near the entrance to the Bam/Caretakcr
Unit. The distance from the building to the first cleanout was 85 feet. At this cleanout was a drop. From there
to the next cleanout was 100 feet. From the second cleanout to the "Y" connection was 20 feet. The "'Y"
connection was constructed for the later connection of the building sewer for the main residence. The building
sewer entered the side port of the first tank. The tanks and the absorption trenches were laid parallel_ From
the septic tank there was 27 feet of pipe in a straight line to a 45 ° bond, then 24 feet to a 45 ° and 3 feet to a
90 ° angle into the f'u-st Infiltrator Chamber.
Forty-five Standard Infiltrator Chambers were installed in three trenches, with serial distribution.
One more Infiltrator will be added at the east end of the lowest trench. In the last infiltrator of each trench,
cleanout ports were installed. Horizontal distance from center to center of the trenches, was 10 feet. All
piping was SDR-35, 4-inch pvc. The soil profile in the trenches was consistent with the soil exposed in the
profile hale.

this system please contact Eagle County Enviro40ental Health.
Also enclosed is the ISDS Final Inspection Completeness Form. The items on this form need
to be completed before you call for your final inspection. Also, please note any special
conditions which may have been placed on the permit. Do not back fill any part of the
installation until it has been inspected. If all items are not completed, a reinspection fee of
$47.00 must be paid before a reinspection is made.
Please call our office well in advance to allow for scheduling of final inspection. Your building
permit TCO will not be issued until final approval has been given for the ISDS Permit.
