Box 468 Gypsum, CO 81637 RE: Percolation Test Results Lot 2, Bertroch Subdivision Filing No. 6 Town of Gypsum Eagle County, Colorado Project No. 9601 Dear Rex: At your request on January 4, 1996, we did percolation testing on Lot 2, Bertroch Subdivision Filing No. 6, in the Town of Gypsum, Eagle County, Colorado. You dug the percolation holes and presoaked them, a day before. We also observed the soil exposed in the profile hole. The locations of the profile hole and the percolation holes, are shown on the accompanying Location Sketch. The measurements were taken by pacing. Following is a summary of the findings: The soil encountered in the profile hole consisted of: 0 to 1.5 feet Topsoil 1.5 to 3.0 feet Silty sand 3.0 to 4.0 feet Whithish-brown silty sand 4.0 to 7.0 feet Brown, silty sand ✓ No ground water encountered --- The percolation test results were as follows: Percolation Hole No. 1 Percolation Hole No. 2 Percolation Hole No. 3 10 minutes per inch 7 minutes per inch 18 minutes per inch We recommend Percolation Rate of 1 Ominutes per inch for design The leachfield area should be kept away from the old path. This is the area where percolation hole number three was. Based on the percolation test result in the perc hole no. 3, we can conclude that due to the traffic P.O. We recommend a Soil Absorption System for the disposal of the sewage effluent for this site. This report has been prepared for the exclusive use of Mr. Rex Bossow for the specific application to the proposed development on Lot 2, Bertroch Subdivision Filing No. 6, Town of Gypsum, Eagle County, Colorado. The findings and recommendations of this report are according to locally accepted professional engineering standards at this time, and with the requirements set forth by the Eagle County Environmental Health Division.
