Box 179 Eagle, CO 81631 Dear Sirs: B & B Plumbing was hired by Vaughan Construction to install a septic system for the Town of Gypsum. I was told that the Town of Gypsum would take care of all the paper work, percolation tests and engineering necessary for a complete sanitary sewer system for their shop. When we have worked for other government entities, they have always taken care of their own paper work When they wanted the system installed, Vaughan Construction and I discovered the engineering had not been done. I was instructed to hire an engineer to design the system. I hired High Country Engineering and had the percolation test and systems designed by Tim Beck, P. E. When I completed the system as designed, I called the Town of Gypsum and the lady said she would take care of theinspection. An inspector came out from Gypsum and said that he did not need toinspect an engineered system. I then backfilled the system as it was completed. Later, I discovered that I needed to have the P.E. inspect the system. I then contacted Tim Beck and he wrote me the second letter. The system was installed properly and in compliance with your regulations. I apologize for not getting a license thruEagle County before I started the system. I had not worked in Eagle for approximatelyfour years and did not think I would need this license. I was told Gypsum would take care of all the licenses and fees. I am sending you pictures taken of the installation, 2 letters from the engineer and a map showing installation with footages. I would also like to get my license for Eagle County at this time. I may be doing some work for the Eagle County Airport. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to call. According to the invoice, there were 22 Infiltrator units, one 1000 gallon septic tank, one 48" sand trap, and miscellaneous pipe, fittings, and etc. delivered to the site on approximately June 26, 1995. Our design letter recommended 22 Infiltrator units, a 1000 gallon septic tank, and a 200 to 400 gallon sand trap. Based on the invoice and your sketch of the installation, it appears that the system meets the intent of the design. If you have any questions or need additional information, please contact us.
