Permitted Construction / Details:
Install the OWTS exactly as depicted on the design by Vern L. Brock, PE on September 26, 2018, revised, stamped
and signed Aril 11, 2019. The OWTS is designed to treat flows generated by employees and patrons of a water
sports rental facility with 40 seat deli using disposable products, one shower and laundry. ISDS 1426-94 that served
the previous business will be completely removed.
The system consists of a 2,500 gallon Valley Precast three compartment septic tank equipped with an Orenco PF
5005 pump placed in an Orenco Biotube vault in the third compartment with 1,160 square feet of pressure-dosed
unlined sand filter soil treatment area (prior to taking the 30% adjustment for using chambers and the 20%
adjustment for pressure dosing). An additional 500 gallon Valley Precast sand/oil separator tank is to be installed to
intercept drain lines coming from the deli. The soil treatment area consists of two fields, separated by a manifold
and diversion valve, each consisting of 28 Infiltrator Quick 4 Plus chambers in trench configuration arranged as
shown on the design drawing placed atop three feet of concrete sand. The manifold and diverter valve must be
made accessible at grade and insulated with blue board or other for of freeze prevention. All piping is to be
Schedule 40 PVC. Water metering is required.
Contact Eagle County and the design engineer well in advance of requesting inspections. All inspections necessary
to certify the system must be performed by the design engineer. Final certification, along with a record drawing and
photos are required to be submitted to, and approved by, Eagle County Environmental Health prior to the use of the
system or occupancy of the building.
THIS PERIMT EXPIRES BY TIME LIMITATION AND BECOMES NULL AND VOID IF THE WORK AUTHORIZED BY THE PERMIT IS NOT COMMENCED WITHIN 120 DAYS OF
ISSUANCE, OR BEFORE THE EXPIRATION OF AN ASSOCIATED BUILDING PERMIT

RE: Final approval of the: Septic System Installation, OWTS-7-18-19509
Property location: 3577 HWY 6, Eagle County
Mr. Bangert,
This letter is to inform you that the above-referenced permit has been inspected and finalized.
The Onsite Wastewater Treatment System (OWTS) was designed and installed to serve the kitchen
and facility located at the above address.
Additional information about the maintenance your septic system needs can be accessed through
our website links, provided on the Environmental Health Department’s septic system resource page.
Be aware that changes in the use of your property or alterations of your building may require
commensurate changes to, or relocation of, your septic system. Landscape features, trees with tap
roots, irrigation systems and parking areas above the soil treatment area can cause premature
system failure. It is equally important that you notice and immediately repair dripping faucets and
hissing toilets as this will certainly cause the system to fail.
If you have any questions regarding this information, please contact us at (970) 328 -8755 and
reference the OWTS septic permit number.
Best Regards,
Claire Lewandowski, REHS

Hi Vern,
Thanks for coming in today and helping clear up the confusion. I believe that mistakenly, the addended design you
submitted in April was not incorporated and the permit was not updated. I understand that the decision was made by my
then boss to not add complication, however it has created a lot of confusion that I do not want to lead to a mistake in the
installation and functionality of the end design.
I update the permit to incorporate the changes made in the April 11, 2019 revision, and attached that along with your
design.
I copied Sean Reynolds as well, since he is still listed as the installer for the job; if this has changed please let me know
right away so I can update the permit.
I hope this helps, please let me know if you have further questions.
Thanks

Dear Applicant,
Eagle County Building
P.O. Box 179
500 Broadway
Eagle, Colorado 81631-0179
The Environmental Health Division would like to notify you to
make a formal request to extend your Individual Sewage Disposal
System(ISDS) Permit 00-'E-ql into the 1996 construction year. The
Environmental Health Division discontinued percolation tests on
November 15, 1995 and final inspections on December 2, 1995 due
to climatic conditions.
ISDS permits are active for 120 days after the date of issue if
no Building Permit has been issued for the same property. If a
Building Permit has been issued for the same property the ISDS
will expire at the same time as the building permit.
If you still plan to apply for a Building Permit this year or in
the early months of 1996 you will need to have a percolation test
conducted before your Building Permit will be released. You will
have to contact a Registered Professional Engineering(RPE) firm
to conduct your percolation test.
If you have had your permit issued and have not had your final
inspection completed, but plan on constructing the system in the
next few weeks, please give our office a call and we will
evaluate your permit on a case by case situation.
Please give the Environmental Health office a call at 328-8755,
if you have any questions regarding your permit extension
process.
