I 1Z S'ubamrface Conditions: The subsurface conditions at the site were evaluated can 'December 8, 1998 by excavating pane profile pit and three percolation hales at the approximate locations shown on -Fig. 1. The test holes (nominal 6 inch diameter by 14 niches deep) were hand dug at the bottom of shallow backhoe pits and soaked overnight with water. The tort holes were covered with Agid foam board insulation and loose soil for frosi protection. The log of the profile fait is prosented on Fig, 2. The soils exposQd in the percolation holes tare similar to those exposed in the profile fait. Tile subsoils encountered, below about one foot of tc paled, consist of relatively donso silty sandy graavol with cobbics. Gradation test results for a simple Obtained frartl the profile pit are shown on Fig, 3. No free water was observed in the pit at the 11nie of excavation and the soils were molst, Percolation Testing: Percolation Costs were conducted can I.4emher 9, 1998 to evaluate the feasibility of an infilititlon septic disposal system at tho site. Tile percolation teat results, presented in 'Table i ranged from 18 to 23 Ininutes per inch, and aiveraged 20 minutes per in;;h, Based on the. subsurface conditions olt,C.wntered and the percolation test result;, the tested area should be suitable for a oc nvemional infiltration septic disposal system, lAmitations; This study Elms boen condut;W in aocordaince with generally #ac ccptod geatechnic:asi engincering principles and pmotires in this area tat this bloc, We make no warranty either expressed or implied.
