Please submit information to: Eagle County Environmental Health Division P.O. Box 179 500 Broadway Eagle, CO 81631 ISSUING ISDS PERMIT 1. Do percolation test, and calculate the perc rate. 2. Calculate the field size using the perc rate and the loading rate, from the purple book entitled Design Manual Onsite Wastewater Treatment and Disposal Systems. Use the larger field size for the permit requirements. 3. Type the permit, reminding the installer to put inspection portals at the end of each trench. Put the number of infiltrators in trenches or number of linear feet of SB2 in trenches. 4. The issue letter is in Wordperfect in the ISDS directory under issue. Print the letter adding correct information. 5. Send the original letter and a copy of the permit to the licensed installer. A copy of the letter and the original permit go in the ISDS file. A copy of the letter goes in the chrono file. 6. Enter Paradox Septic file to input data. 7. Record issue date in the black book. 8. Get the building permit number, if that info hasn't been obtained, and sign off in the Building division black book. ISSUING ISDS FINAL 1. Do the final inspection, drawing a map of the site and writing distances from the inspection portal next to the house to the center of the first compartment of the tank, and the degrees off of north on the outside of the folder. 2. Take a picture of the tank and the trenches. 3. Verify the tank size, and the "T"s inside each compartment. 4. After site visit, type up the permit information. 5. The final letter is in Wordperfect, ISDS directory. Type in correct information. The final letter goes to the homeowner, with a copy of the permit, and the septic info handout. 6. The original permit goes in the ISDS file, along with to copy of the final letter. Another copy of the final letter goes in the chrono file. 7. Go into Paradox and input all information. 8. Write info in the black book, drawing a line through top line to indicate that the system was finaled out.
