-The enclosed copy of the permit must be posted at the
installation site. Any changes in plans or specifications
invalidates the permit unless otherwise approved. Please call
our office well in advance for the final inspection. The final
inspection is to be done before any portion of the installed r
system is covered. The deadline for the final inspections done
by Eagle County Environmental Health is December 1. Systems
designed by a Registered Professional Engineer must be certified
by the Engineer indicating that the system was installed as
specified. Eagle County does not perform final inspections on
engineer designed systems.
Be aware that the specifications on the permit are minimum
requirements only. Installers should bring this to the attention
of the property owner.
This permit does not indicate conformance with other Eagle
County requirements.

NOTES:
As we discussed on the phone, the application is for an addition to the guest cabin on the Lloyd
property. Currently the guest cabin is a single "bedroom" and bath. The addition will expand it to two
bedrooms and two baths.
The main residence has a single bedroom with a full baths. There are two powder rooms to
service the study/art studio, living room and tv/family room on two levels. None of the "living" rooms (the
study/art studio, luring room and tvlfamily room) have closets, and none of those rooms can be considered
to be bedrooms.

using a detailed study. There is both a Flood Insurance Date Map (FIRM) and a Floodway
Map for the area. It appears that the proposed conetructiurt Is out of the 100-year fioodplain
as depicted in the plan view of the FIRM, However, since the detailed study also provides
vertical elevation information on the 100-ye2r floodplain, we request the applicant provide

1. All installation must comply with all requirements of the County Individual Sewage Disposal Regulations,
adopted pursuant to authority granted in 25-10-104, CRS 1973 amended 25-1-614, CRS 1973
2. This permit is valid only for connection to structures which have fully complied with County Zoning and
building requirements. Connection to or use with any dwelling or structures not approved by the building
and Zoning office shall automatically be a violation of a requirement of the permit and cause for both
legal action and revocation of the permit.
3. Section III, 3.24 requires any person who constructs, alters, or installs an individual sewage disposal
system in a manner which involves a knowing and material variation from the terms or specifications con-
tained in the application of permit commits a Class I, Petty Offense ($500.00 fine - 6 months in jail or
both_

regulations governing individual sewage systems within Eagle County, and shall comply with House Bill 1553 CRS
66-14, 1973. Payment shall be made to the Eagle County Treasurer. Permit, upon approval of this application, may be
obtained at the Eagle County sanitarian's office. .

Dear Eric,
As you know,
the well on the lot west of ours
is less than the required minimum of 100 feet from
our leachfield. Rick measured about 75 feet. Our
septic system has been in place since 1970. We will
not be responsible, if it turns out that the well is
polluted, and should it be necessary to alter or
change our leachfield for any reason, no greater
distance will be observed than exists now.
Secondly, the well in question was drilled
only a few feet inside the lines of Lot 3, and is
certainly outside the setback line.
Thirdly, and worse, I have just been informed,
that the septic tank was installed in the public
right-of-way.
If these installations have been approved, the
county will be assumed to have taken responsibilty
for the deviations and their consequences.
