Dear Ray:
This letter is to provide the additional information that you requested regarding the
individual sewage disposal system for the proposed Taylor Residence in Aspen
Mountain View Subdivision. Enclosed is a Site Plan showing the location of the
proposed individual sewage disposal system. As we discussed, I have specified
leachfield chambers installed in trenches.
Soil conditions in the vicinity of the leachfield were observed in a 9-foot deep profile
pit. The soil profile consists of about 3 feet of organic sandy clay topsoil overlying
medium dense silty, clayey sand to the full depth of the profile pit. No groundwater
or bedrock was observed in the profile pit. Based upon these observations and the
results of the soil percolation testing, I have concluded that the soil conditions are
suitable for the proposed sewage disposal system.

This letter is to provide design recommendations for the individual sewage disposal
system for the proposed Taylor Residence located at 0157 Sam Grange Court, which
is Lot 9 of Aspen Mountain View Subdivision in Eagle County. Please find enclosed
the following information in this regard:
• A copy of Eagle County ISDS Permit Application # 1210-92 for this
project.
• A copy of the soil percolation test results performed by Chen -Northern,
Inc. on November 12, 1992.
• A copy of my design calculations for the individual sewage disposal
system.
The recommended sewage disposal system is a 1000-gallon septic tank with a soil
absorption system. The system must be located at least 50 feet from the irrigation
ditch. Any of the following alternative soil absorption systems may be constructed:
1) 740 square feet of standard leachfield
4 2) 20 "Infiltrator" chambers in trenches
xY4 "Infiltrator" chambers in a bed
4) 240 feet of 10-inch S132 graveless pipe

By copy of this letter, I am forwarding this information to the Eagle County
Environmental Health Department and asking them to issue you an Individual
Sewage Disposal System Permit. Eagle County will need a Site Plan as per the
enclosed requirements and will also need a Licensed Systems Contractor indicated
on the application. I will need to inspect the installation of the system to provide
construction certification to Eagle County; please photograph the system prior to
backfilling to document the construction. If you have any questions or if I can
provide any assistance in preparing the Site Plan, please give me a call.
