Any changes in plans or specifications invalidates the permit unless otherwise approved. Please call our office well in advance for the final inspection. The final inspection is to be done before any portion of the installed system is covered. The deadline for final inspections done by Eagle County Environmental Health is December 1. Systems designed by a Registered Professional Engineer must be certified by the Engineer indicating that the system was installed as specified. The following is an overview of the project with criteria and design calculations. INTRODUCTION The project site is located in Lot 1 of Red Canyon Acres in Eagle County, Colorado. The proposed service is for a duplex structure with 5.bedroom$. The septic system and home are adjacent to the Eagle River but are located outside the established stream setbacks (re: attached site plan). Per Inter -Mountain Engineering, Ltd.'s soils report, the site is approximately�20-30 feet higher than the Eagle Rtvcr. -NA evidence of groundwater was observed in the soil profile holep Water service will be supplied by an off -site well and distribution system which will be tapped at the northeast corner of the property. There are no wells on the adjacent property. The proposed method of sewage treatment will be a conventional absorption field utilizin#Anfiltration units in a trench configuration. PERCOLATION TEST/SOIL PROFILE Percolation tests and soil profile information have been provided by Inter -Mountain Engineering, Ltd. A copy of their findings has been included in the report. Per their investigation, an average percolation rate of 8 mpi was established. This value will be used for design calculations. No groundwater,, was observed in the soil, profile hole. The test was conducted in accordance with Eagle County's Individual Sewage Disposal System Regulations in test holes excavated by you. A profile hole was excavated to a depth of 10 feet. Subsurface conditions consisted of 3 feet of ornanic silts underlain by alluvial sandy gravel soils to a depth of 10 feet. The site is approximately 20 to 30 feet higher than the Eagle River and no evidence of groundwater was observed in the profile hole. The percolation test results were as follows: HOLE 1 HOLE 2 HOLE 3 ,j6 min/inch 7 min/inch \412 min/inch Average 8 minutes per inch This result is in compliance with Eagle County Regulations of a percolation rate of between 5 and 60 minutes per inch for a leach field.
