An evaluation of the existing septic system indicates that unfortunately none of the components currently in place can be salvaged. A percolation test performed on September 5, 1991, revealed an acceptance rate of 15 MPI. Materials needed for septic systems are a function of dwelling size and acceptance rates. Therefore, a minimum of a 1000 gallon septic tank with 523 square feet of trench bottom area is needed. Due to lot size and setback constraints, we would recommend utilizing a graveless type system. Seventeen (17) infiltrator chambers would provide the necessary absorption area. The exit g system should be pumped dry and filled with rock or soil.
