Please note that the scale is now 1" = 50' instead of 1" = 100' as originally planned. The company that duplicated our plat map decided to make this change without our knowledge. We trust that this will not cause you any difficulties. In addition, we have enclosed a small copy of the plat map of the subdivision which will show you the location of our lot. We have outlined the proposed house location with stakes that have been spraypainted with an orange flourescent paint. We have outlined the proposed location of the leach field with four stakes that have flaging tape attached to them. Hopefully this will make your job a little easier. The 10 gallons of water you may need are next to the stake indicating the septic tank. Also enclosed is our Application For Tndividual Sewage Disposal System Permit and our check of $50.00 for the percolation test fee. If you have any questions regarding the enclosed materials, please feel free to call my husband, Bill Weir, at #92.5-4262. As per our phone conversation today, you will be calling us (24 hours in advance) to advise which date you will doing the test in order that we may fill the test holes with water. Box 284 Aspen, CO 81612 RE: Lot #16, Filing #2, Kings Row Subdivision Dear Mr. and Mrs. Weir, The following design criteria will be required for the above referenced individual sewage disposal system. 1. 1000 gallon septic tank 2. 975 square feet of leach field The leach field should be installed two feet deep rather than the con- vential three feet deep. The reason for the shallow leach field is because of the tight soils. The percolation rate is relatively slow (approximately 40 MPI), therefore the shallow leachfield will improve evapotranspiration of the sewage effluent. You should avoid compaction of the leachfield area durina and after construction. This office will issue an installation permit upon receipt of the $150.00 permit application fee. You may not start construction of the Individual Sewage Disposal System until the permit is issued. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to call.
