The absorption field shall be constructed so that the bottom of all trenches are level and at the same elevation. 3 Excavation of the absorption field may proceed only when the moisture content is below the soil's plastic limit. If a sample of soil taken from the trench forms a_"wire" instead of crumbling when atteme ti_b to roll it between the hands, the soil is to wet. 4.
