There is evidence of past and present sewage. on the ground surface. The property owner is responsible for correcting this malfunctioning individual sewage disposal system. Prior to start of repair, a permit application must be submitted to this office. If.alteration of the system is necessary, a $150.00 permit fee shall be charged. If only minor repairs are necessary, no fee shall be charged. The drain field should be uncovered in the area of the sewage surfacing to determine the cause of the malfunction. This office must be notified once the system is uncovered to assist with evaluation of needed repair and cause of malfunction. I have enclosed an application for a repair permit and a list of licensed installers who are qualified to do this repair work. If you have any questions concerning this matter, do not hesitate to call. On July 12 an inspection of the individual sewage disposal system serving the above referenced property revealed a malfunction- ing system. However, the property owner has uncovered the drain field and made the necessary repairs. It is our evaluation that with these repairs the system is functioning properly with no apparent problems. The individual sewage disposal system, Permit #456, was approved on September 3, 1980. This department recommends that the septic tank be pumped every three or four years. Potable water is supplied by the Bellyache Ridge Metro District. Dear Homeowner: All loan inspections are completed under the authority of the Eagle County Building Resolution, Section 3.09.03, A(7), adopted by the Eagle County Commissioners on October 8, 1985. A review of the County records indicates that: In September, 1980, the sewage disposal system was permitted under Permit Number 456, inspected and approved in accordance with County Individual Sewage Disposal Regulations. The system consists of two (2) 1000 gallon septic tanks and 1200 square feet of absorption area. Due to snow cover, no physical inspection was performed at this time. To date, this office has not received any complaints of system failure at the location. This system was designed for a total of four (4) bedrooms (2 per side) additional loading could result in system failure. Upon failure or need of repair, the system must be improved to comply with current County standards. The community water system is inspected by the Colorado Department of Health and to the best of our knowledge complies with current drinking water standards.
