RE: Echo Ranch, Inc.
Dear Scott,
551 Broadway
Eagle, Colorado 81631
(303) 328-7311
 1 S._F=t
I have reviewed the building plans, perc test and
existing file (#287) for the proposed individual sewage
disposal system for Echo Ranch. The existing sewage dis-
posal system (northeast of the house) appears to meet current
code requirements and can remain in use. The new sewage
disposal system (northwest of the house) has been sized to
accommodate the new plumbing fixtures. The minimum require-
ments for the new sewage disposal system is as follows:
- A 1250 gallon septic tank
- 1000 square feet of leach field
The leach field should be installed about 2.5 feet deep
to stay above the clay layer below. A berm should be con-
structed to divert surface drainage away from the leach field
area. Construction can begin at your convenience. Please
prepare an as -built site plan and call for an inspection
prior to covering.
If you have any questions, please give me a call.
Regards,
Sid Fox

Re: Echo Ranch
Project No. V-6052G
Dear Mark:
On April 23, 1986, percolation tests were performed at the site of
the Echo Ranch home. The percolation test holes were dug in the horse
pasture in the area that will serve as a septic field for the new struc-
ture. The holes were drilled by the Eagle County Road Department using
a powered auger.
Subsurface conditions are fairly uniform with topsoil to a depth of
one foot, underlain by silt to a depth of 4.5 feet, underlain by clay.
Additional soils information may be found in the "Soils and Foundation
Investigation" for this site, prepared by Inter -Mountain Engineering, Ltd.,
Project No. V-6052G, dated April 1986.
A total of three percolation tests were performed at the site using
the standard test method as described by the Eagle County Individual
Sewage Disposal System Regulations. The test holes were presoaked on
April 23, 1986, and the tests were performed on April 24, 1986. The
results were as follows:
Test Hole Average Drop (minutes per inch)
A 16
B 15.3
C 15.7
The average of the three tests for design purposes is 16 minutes per
inch. If you have any questions, or we can be of further help, please call.
