COUNTY OF EAGLE, STATE OF COLORADO
RESOLUTION NO. 96 - _~
A RESOLUTION APPOINTING JOHN S. FREEMAN
AS
EAGLE COUNTY ADVISORY DIRECTOR TO
THE ROARING FORK TRANSIT AGENCY
WHEREAS, by Joint Resolution (Eagle County Resolution No. 96-
72) the City Council of the City of Aspen, the Pitkin County Board
of Commissioners, and the Eagle County Board of Commissioners
agreed to the appointment of an advisory director by the County of
Eagle to the Board of the Roaring Fork Transit Agency; and
WHEREAS, the advisory director shall be appointed by the Eagle
County Board of Commissioners (hereinafter "Board") and shall serve
at the pleasure of the Board; and
WHEREAS, the advisory director shall attend and participate in
all Roaring Fork Transit Agency Board (hereinafter "RFTA")
discussions and shall have an advisory, but not binding, vote on
all matters voted on by the RFTA Board; and
WHEREAS, after advertising for the position of advisory
director, the Board has selected John S. Freeman to serve as its
Advisory Director to RFTA.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF THE COUNTY OF EAGLE, STATE OF COLORADO:
THAT, John S. Freeman be and is hereby appointed as the Eagle
County Advisory Director to RFTA.
THAT, pursuant to the terms of the Joint Resolution, the
initial term of Advisory Director shall be until December 31, 1996.

THAT, the Board hereby finds, determines and declares that
this Resolution is necessary for the public health, safety and
welfare of the residents of the County of Eagle, State of Colorado.
MOVED, READ AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners
of the County of Eagle, State of Colorado, at its regular meeting
held the ~~~~-~ day of September, 1996.
