As we discussed, a portable outhouse, is the best solution to having an outhouse for the cabin. This will be framed around to look like an old outhouse but integrity of the manufactured outhouse will not be compromised. It will just be shell around the outside. I have spoken with two local portable septic services who wil service the tank as needed. I f you need something in writing, I would be glad to furnish this. The retailer as well as the service companies have fully informed me of the maintenance required. The location of the outhouse will be where the small shed by the electric meter is as indicated on the enclosed improvement location certificate. Also enclosed is information provided by the salesperson. Products used in odor control are cirled on the brochure. I hope this satisfies all your concerns and regulations. Thanks for your help! Recently my construction client, Peri Berman, purchased the real property and residence at 3221 Brush Creek Road in Eagle County, Colorado. It is her intent to operate a small greenhouse and barn which will be utilized to harvest a variety of produce and plants and will be sustained by a "closed loop" aquaponics system. In the beginning, Ms. Berman and her fiance will be the only parties working this operation. Originally, we were planning to keep both of these structures "agricultural" in nature. Over time, if all goes well, Ms. Berman may decide to sell and/or distribute products from these structures; therefore, the EC Building Department requested that Mr. Kirley produce architectural drawings for structures "commercial" in nature. Precision Construction West, Inc. submitted a permit application on May 171n, 2016. Currently we are sitting with Building Department and Community Development Department "sign offs"/approvals. Because Ms. Berman and her fiance will be the only "employees" of this operation, they plan to utilize the existing bathroom facilities in their home which is adjacent to these new structures. If the business is to grow in time, Ms. Berman is prepared to provide the appropriate portable sanitary facilities for future potential customers. Inside the barn structure, Mr. Kirley did draw a couple of sinks into the floor plan. Our client is happy to replace these sinks with agricultural hose bibs in an effort to mitigate any need for additional septic systems. Ms. Berman and her fiance are excited to be residing in Eagle, Colorado. They are both committed to improving their lives and the surrounding community and environment with this endeavor. At this juncture, the investment which they are making is pushing them to the brink of their respective economic realities. We all would be disappointed if these folks could NOT move forward due to unnecessary design and budgetary restraints. We need only to receive "approval" from the Environmental Health Dept. and to produce a water management/drainage plan for the Eagle County Engineering Dept. We look forward to your response.
