BOX 179 EAGLE, COLORADO 81631 FAX: (303) 328-7185 The Environmental Health Division would like to notify you to make a formal request to extend your Individual Sewage Disposal System(ISDS) Permit #1392-94 into the 1995 construction year. The Environmental Health Division discontinued percolation tests on November 15, 1994 and final inspections on December 2, 1994 due to climatic conditions. ISDS permits are active for 120 days after the date of issue if no Building Permit has been issued for the same property. If a Building Permit has been issued for the same property the ISDS will expire at the same time as the building permit. If you still plan to apply for a Building Permit this year or in the early months of 1995 you will need to have a percolation test conducted before your Building Permit will be released. You will have to contact a Registered Professional Engineering(RPE) firm to conduct your percolation test. If you have had your permit issued and have not had your final inspection completed, but plan on constructing the system in the next few weeks, please give our office a call and we will evaluate your permit on a case by case situation. Hallam Aspen, CO 81611 Subject: Individual Sewage System Design for the Meredith and Cornellia Long Residence on Lot 1, Hamby Subdivision, numbered as 5348 Frying Pan Road Dear Gerd, As requested, Nelson Environmental and Wastewater Solutions, Ltd., has reviewed the site for the design and construction of a replacement septic system for the remodeled residence at the subject site. This letter details our design recommendations. We will furnish this letter and a permit application to the Eagle County Environmental Health Department at our earliest convenience to obtain a permit to construct this new individual sewage system. Proposed Construction and Building Site: The existing remodeled two-story residence is to be a three -bedroom, three bathroom house. There is a one bedroom one bath unit in the wood frame garage. The property is served by an individual well and is approximately 4.18 acres in size. The lot presents a significant limitation to the construction of an on -site sewage disposal system because of a high water table, at approximately one and one half feet below the surface of the ground. The natural ground surface in t e proposed area of the absorption field, slopes gently to the Southwest at less than a 5% grade. There are no natural drainages or active irrigation ditches apparent in the area. The existing residential septic system consists of an inoperative metal "Cavittete" aeration plant and an undetermined absorption field. It is to be replaced. Recommended On -site Wastewater Disposal Design: Following the Eagle County Regulations, the suggested design incorporates the alternatives listed. We have attached details and sketches of the proposed system so that you may follow the construction and how the planned septic system will fit on the property. We are also attaching the mound construction guidelines for your reference at the request of the Eagle County Environmental Health Department.
