Enclosed please find the results of your water sample submitted to the Colorado Department of Health laboratory. "Confluent Growth" indicates excessive amount of growth of some sort of bacteria. Apparently they did test for coliform and "no coliform noted," You may wish to do another sample to see if it also is contaminated with "heavy confluent growth." The types of bacteria that may be present are numerous, e.g., you may have touched the rim of the bottle with your fingers or some other medium; there some other sort of coliform other than fecal present; the pipes may have rust or some other mineral deposit in them causing it to leach into the water sample... Dear'Mr. Lutz, All loan inspections are completed under the authority of the Eagle County Building Resolution, Section 3.08.03, A (7), adopted by the Eagle County Commissioners on October 8, 1989, and amended February 14, 1989. On May 8, 1989, this department conducted a site inspection of the above referenced property. The inspection was requested by Jeff Lutz for the purpose of evaluating the existing condition of the on=site wastewater disposal and water supply systems. A review of the County records indicates that the sewage disposal.system was permitted under Permit Number 500, inspected and approved in accordance with the County Individual Sewage Disposal Regulations. A visual inspection of the ground.surface indicated that the -sewage disposal.system was apparently functioning satisfactorily at the time of inspection. The private well is properly sealed and functioning properly. I recommend that.you provide rodent control around the well head with a 25 foot radius. The well sample results are:to be provided by the Upper Eagle Valley Sanitation District,.phone 476-7480.
