Installation is granted for a minimum of a 1000 gallon, two compartment, tank to service this 3 bedroom
home.
The existing tank must be pumped and either removed or filled with dirt.
The existing effluent line can be used as long as it is in good condition and at least SDR 35 pipe. Add a
cleanout between the house and the tank if there isn’t one currently on the effluent line.
If the effluent line from the septic tank to the leach field goes under any areas for parking or the driveway,
use a minimum of schedule 40 pipe or sleeve the sewer pipe with schedule 40 pipe. Add extra insulation
over effluent pipe if necessary.
Maintain all required setbacks (well, water courses).
Call Eagle County Environmental Health at 328-8755 with any questions. Also, call for a final inspection
before covering any components of this installation.
