HomeMy WebLinkAboutR22-031 Appointment of EC Assistant Veterans Service Officer - Jacqueline Allen-Benson DocuSign Envelope ID:8611DA4E-E2B0-47A1-A3F1-44B096670A95 Commissioner Chandler-Henry moved adoption of the following Resolution: BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS COUNTY OF EAGLE, STATE OF COLORADO RESOLUTION NO 2022- 031 A RESOLUTION CONCERNING APPOINTMENT OF JACQUELINE ALLEN-BENSON AS EAGLE COUNTY'S ASSISTANT VETERANS SERVICE OFFICER WHEREAS, Colorado Revised Statutes § 28-5-801 et seq. mandates that the board of county commissioners of each county in the state appoint a veterans service officer for such county for a two(2)year term on such terms and conditions as each county may determine are appropriate; and WHEREAS, Eagle County (the "County") has determined that Jacqueline Allen-Benson is a person duly qualified to hold appointment by the County as its Assistant Veterans Service Officer; and WHEREAS, the County desires to appoint Jacqueline Allen-Benson as Eagle County's Assistant Veterans Service Officer to serve in this position from May 1, 2022 through April 30, 2024; and WHEREAS, Jacqueline Allen-Benson has agreed to accept the appointment as Eagle County's Assistant Veterans Service Officer; and WHEREAS,the following appointment does not constitute a contractual obligation of the County nor of the Board,and the County and Board are not legally bound for the respective terms of appointment and designation as specified herein below, the County, by and through the Board, having the authority, in its sole discretion, to change, add, or abolish such appointments and designations and to fill vacancies as it sees fit. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF THE COUNTY OF EAGLE, STATE OF COLORADO: THAT, the Board of County Commissioners hereby appoints and confirms Jacqueline Allen-Benson as its Assistant Veterans Service Officer to serve in such capacity and on such terms and conditions as the Board may deem appropriate for a two (2) year term commencing on May 1, 2022 and terminating on April 30, 2024; and DocuSign Envelope ID:8611DA4E-E2B0-47A1-A3F1-44B096670A95 THAT, the Board of County Commissioners finds determines and declares that this Resolution is necessary for the public health safety and welfare of the citizens of the County of Eagle, State of Colorado.
