HomeMy WebLinkAboutR1924-001 White River National Forest 4 R E S O L U T I O N N WHEREAS, It has been made to appear to the Board of County Commissioners of Eagle County, Colorado, in regular session convened, that a bill has been introduced in the Congress of the united States by Honorable Edward T. Taylor, to include the lands described within such bill, and which lands are now a part of the unsegregated, unappropriated part of the public domain, within the White River National Forest, a copy of which bill is hereto attached, such bill being designated as H. R. 3926, and in which the description of the lands sought to be included within such Forest in con - tained, and WHLAEA3, It appears to the 3oard of County Commissioners of Eagle County, Colorado, that such lands, as described within said bill, are unsuitable for any agricultural purposes, except grazing, and are not included within any forest re- serve, but are used for grazing purposes to the detriment of holders of grazing permits within such Forest, and it further appearing that those persons who reside in the immediate vicinity of such lands, or who graze their stock upon the White River National Forest within the vicinity of such lands, desire that such lands be included within such Forest in order that their grazing rights and privileges may be properly pro- tected, and, WHEREAS, It appears that the inclusion of such lands within the above National Forest is desirable, BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED, That the Board of County Com- missioners of Eagle County, Colorado, do hereby endorse and approve H. R. 3926, as introduced in Congress by the Honorable Edward T. Taylor in that respect, and urge that the Representa- tives in Congress, of the State of Colorado, lend their support to the passage of such bill.
