HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes 02/11/20 PUBLIC HEARING February 11, 2020 Present: Kathy Chandler-Henry Chairman Matt Scherr Commissioner Jeanne McQueeney Commissioner Jeff Shroll County Manager Kathy Parker Assistant County Attorney Kathy Scriver Deputy Clerk to the Board This being a scheduled Public Hearing,the following items were presented to the Board of County Commissioners for their consideration: Commissioner Updates Commissioner Scherr stated that the Burton U.S. Open was coming up again on February. On the heels of the recent climate action event that addressed waste and energy and being more efficient,Commissioner Scherr acknowledged these types of big events made a lot of waste but Walking Mountain Science Center was working to make the event zero waste. People were needed to help make this happen. Anyone interested in helping could contact Walking Mountain Science Center for information. Commissioner McQueeney gave a shout out to her fellow commissioners and to Jeff Shroll for driving everyone to Steamboat Springs to meet with fellow commissioners of Routt County. Chairman Chandler-Henry stated that it was a great meeting and there were a lot of shared interest with our neighboring counties. She gave a shout out to the snow plow crews,the Road and Bridge Department,and Facilities for all their work keeping the roads and sidewalks clear. County Manager Updates Jeff Shroll also added his thanks. It was a busy snow week. He thanked the Public Health and Health and Human Services for their lead in combatting mental health issues. He believed that Eagle County was a model county for tackling the issue. He thanked all of the partners that had a hand in it. Constituent Input Chairman Chandler-Henry opened and closed constituent input, as there was none. Work Session 1.
