This being a scheduled Public Hearing,the following items were presented to the Board of County
Commissioners for their consideration:
Commissioner Updates
Commissioner McQueeney gave a shout out to the Family Leadership Training Institute. There were 23
participants this year.
Commissioner Ryan spoke about the influenza season and encouraged people who had not received a flu
shot yet to do so.
Chairman Chandler-Henry gave a shout out to the collaborations throughout the valley.There would be a
mayor and manager meeting this month, and she expressed appreciation for the partnership of the municipalities.
These meetings were open to the public.
Consent Agenda
1. Intergovernmental Agreement with the Town of Vail for Animal Sheltering and Field Services

Commissioner Ryan moved to approve the Consent Agenda for January 9, 2018, as presented.
Commissioner McQueeney seconded the motion. The vote was declared unanimous.
Constituent Input
Chairman Chandler-Henry opened constituent input.
Joanne Rock spoke about the citizen advisory committee meeting about Hardscrabble Ranch. She wanted
to make sure the public got as much access as possible as soon as possible as there were a lot of taxpayer dollars
that contributed. She also spoke about employee housing calculations for the proposed employee housing units in
Edwards. She believed the rates were high and believed there may be a better way to tackle the problem.

Chairman Chandler-Henry stated that Diane Mauriello was working on the management plan for
Hardscrabble Ranch and would be able to provide information. The Eagle River Water and Sanitation District did
note that over time their housing program had come up in the black,but it was difficult to do affordable housing
with the cost of land and infrastructure.
Chairman Chandler-Henry closed constituent input.
