This being a scheduled Public Hearing, the following items were presented to the Board of County

Agreement to Provide Deed Restricted Housing on Stratton Flats
Bryan Treu stated that the board has seen the document in various forms in Executive Session. The county
is now buying deed-restricted units at Stratton Flats; an investment of 4.5 million dollars. The investment will
generate 339 units of which 226 will be much needed deed restricted units in the valley.
Chairman Runyon asked if this was phase one of two.
Mr. Treu stated that the document would buy some time and allow further discussions with the Town of
Gypsum and Colorado Business Bank to protect the county's investment.
Commissioner Menconi moved that the board approve the agreement to provide deed restricted housing on
Stratton Flats.
Commissioner Fisher seconded the motion for discussion.
Commissioner Fisher stated that the she had the opportunity to meet with Jeff Schroll, Gypsum Town
Manager, and Mayor Carver. They both expressed their support of Eagle County's participation in this endeavor
and look forward to a successful effort in coming to an understanding and agreement with the banks and Stratton
Flats. She is thrilled for the opportunity to see housing under construction before the year's end and hopefully in
the hands oflocal owners early next year.
