This being a scheduled Public Hearing the following items were presented to the Board of County
Commissioners for their consideration:
Commissioner Phillips opened the meeting as the Local Liquor Licensing Authority.
Mid-Vail Restaurant
Earlene Roach, Liquor Inspector, presented a managers registration for Vail Food Services, Inc., dba/Mid-
Vail Restaurant. The new manager is Amy McDonnell. She stated all documentation is in order and all appropriate
fees have been paid. Ms. McDonnell is reported to be of good moral character. Staff recommended approval.
Tamara Underwood introduced Amy McDonnell who was previously the assistant manager of Mid-Vail.
Commissioner Johnson asked how long Ms. McDonnell had been in food and beverage business.
Ms. McDonnell stated prior to Vail Associates, she was a school teacher.
Commissioner Johnson moved to approve the managers registration for Amy McDonnell, Vail Food
Services, Inc., dba/Mid-Vail Restaurant.
Commissioner Gates seconded the motion. The vote was declared unanimous.
Whitewater Package Store
Earlene Roach presented a renewal of a Retail Liquor Store license for Three Seventy Six Corporation,
dba/Whitewater Package Store. She stated this application is in conformance with all rules and regulations
governing renewals and all fees have been paid. There have been no complaints or disturbances reported by the
Sheriffs Office, after the temporary closure. Staff recommended approval.
Commissioner Gates moved to approve the renewal of a Retail Liquor Store License for Three Seventy Six
Corporation, dba/Whitewater Package Store.
Commissioner Johnson seconded the motion. The vote was declared unanimous.
The Board thanked the applicant for the work they have done in attempting to stop sales to minors and
intoxicated individuals.
Taste of Vail
Earlene Roach presented a Special Events Permit application for Taste of Vail. She stated all
documentation is in order and all fees have been paid. The premise was posted and notice was published in the
Eagle Valley Enterprise. This event is their annual event to be held on April 4, 1997 from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Staff recommended approval.
Commissioner Johnson moved to approve the special events permit for Taste of Vail.
Commissioner Gates seconded the motion. The vote was declared unanimous.
Bella Mia
Earlene Roach presented a renewal of a hotel and restaurant license with extended hours for Bella Mia, Inc.,
dba/Bella Mia. The renewal is in order and all fees have been paid. Environmental Health has concerns with the
