HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes 01/27/97 BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS EAGLE, COLORADO RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS FORM 50 HOECKEi:S 387869 PUBLIC HEARING JANUARY 27, 1997 Present: Johnnette Phillips James Johnson, Jr, George "Bud" Gates Jim Hartmann Earlene Roach Chairman Commissioner Commissioner County Administrator Deputy Clerk to the Board This being a scheduled Public Hearing the following items were presented to the Board of County Commissioners for their consideration: Consent Calendar Chairman Phillips stated the first item on the agenda was the consent calendar as follows: A) Approval of bill paying for week of January 27, 1997, subject to review by County Administrator B) Approval of payroll for January 30, 1997, subject to review by County Administrator C) Resolution, authorizing the director of Eagle County Department of Social Services to execute small provider contracts and individual providers of service under the Family Preservation and Juvenile Wrap program D) Eagle County Annual Fire Protection Plan and Intergovernmental Mutual Aid Agreement for 1996-1997 with Town of Minturn, Minturn Fire Department, Town of Avon, Avon Fire Department, Eagle Fire Protection District, Town of Vail, Vail Fire Department and the Gypsum Fire Protection District E) Resolution, adopting rules and regulations for ground transportation at the Eagle County Regional Airport, Commissioner Johnson questioned the small contracts. Kathleen Forinash, Director of Human Services, stated the Resolution does not have a limit. Commissioner Johnson requested item C be tabled, He questioned item E, Bob Loeffler, Asst, County Attorney, stated the fees were established prior to his employment with Eagle County but does not believe the Board can compare a luxury limousine to a taxi cab, He pointed out an error on page 10 that needs to be corrected, airport rental agencies is 6% not 12% as indicated on the fourth line on page 10 of the Resolution. Discussion continued on items C & E. Mark Walker, Colorado Mountain Express, clarified limo's versus taxi's. He stated the limos will charge between $140 to 190 per trip and the taxis will charge between $90 and $100 per trip. He stated the stretch limos will change in the $220 to $275 range per trip. Cadillacs will charge between $135 to $190 per trip. Commissioner Johnson moved to approve items A, B and D of the consent calendar as presented. Commissioner Gates seconded the motion. The vote was declared unanimous, There being no further business to be brought before the Board the meeting was adjourned until January 28, 1997. Attest: Clerk to the Boar 1
