BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
COUNTY OF EAGLE, STATE OF COLORADO
RESOLUTION NO. 97 -
A RESOLUTION APPROVING COUNTY INVESTMENT
IN CERTAIN GOVERNMENT INVESTMENT POOL TRUSTS
WHEREAS, Eagle County Resolution No. 92 -128 addresses the
deposit and investment of funds by the County Treasurer and
authorizes the Treasurer to deposit all County surplus funds in
those securities and funds as set forth in the Eagle County
Treasurer Investment Policy and Procedure; and
WHEREAS, Section 7 of the Eagle County Treasurer Investment
Policy and Procedure provides that if the County Treasurer is to
invest in any local government investment pool funds, the Eagle
County Board of Commissioners (hereinafter "Board ") must approve of
the funds prior to deposit by the County Treasurer; and
WHEREAS, the County Treasurer desires such approval by the
Board so as to deposit County surplus funds into a local government
investment pool trust entitled Cooperative Liquid Assets Securities
System ( "CLASS "), this funds meets all statutory requirements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
SSIONERS OF THE COUNTY OF EAGLE, STATE OF COLORADO:
THAT, the Board, in accordance with Section 7 of the Eagle
County Treasurer Investment Policy and Procedure, hereby approves
deposit of County surplus funds into the local government
investment pool trust known as Cooperative Liquid Assets Securities
System.
THAT, the Board's approval of investment by the County
Treasurer into this fund has no effect on the County Treasurer's
ability to invest in those government pool trust funds already
approved by the Board.
THAT, the Board hereby finds, determines and declares that
this Resolution is necessary for the public health, safety and
welfare of the residents of the County of Eagle, State of Colorado.
MOVED, READ AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners
of the County of Eagle, �Sta te of Colorado, at its regular meeting
