BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
COUNTY OF EAGLE, STATE OF COLORADO
RESOLUTION NO. 2015-0 f'
Resolution Designating the First Week of April as Public Health Week
WHEREAS, the week of April 6-12, 2015 is National Public Health Week, a time to
recognize the contributions of public health and highlight issues that are important to improving
communities across the nation; and
WHEREAS, Eagle County Public Health and Environment programs prevent diseases
before they start and reduce health inequities, which is critical to helping people live longer,
healthier lives; and
WHEREAS, Eagle County Public Health and Environment create sustainable systems to
enhance quality of life and place for every individual in the community; and
WHEREAS, Eagle County Public Health and Environment believes that it is everyone's
right to be as healthy as they choose to be over the course of their life, and are entitled to
influence their surroundings to support an optimum quality of life; and
WHEREAS, Eagle County Public Health and Environment serves the entire population
and strong public health systems are critical for sustaining and improving community health.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners
hereby recognizes and supports the efforts of Eagle County Public Health and Environment and
its partners for improving the lives and environment for all residents and visitors to our
community.
MOVED,READ AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Coissioners of the
County of Eagle, State of Colorado, at its regular meeting held the 1(1: -- day of April, 2015.
