Home My WebLink AboutR14-100 Resolution Establishing Regular Public Meeting Days, Holidays and Payroll Commissioner Owl- - 144.4-t a— doved adoption of the following Resolution: BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS COUNTY OF EAGLE, STATE OF COLORADO RESOLUTION NO. 2014- 1°(.3 RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING REGULAR PUBLIC MEETING DAYS FOR THE EAGLE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS FOR FISCAL YEAR 2015 AND ESTABLISHING DAYS AND OFFICE HOURS FOR COUNTY OFFICES TO TRANSACT COUNTY BUSINESS FOR FISCAL YEAR 2015 AND DESIGNATING LEGAL HOLIDAYS FOR FISCAL YEAR 2015 AND ESTABLISHING BI-WEEKLY PAYROLL SCHEDULE FOR 2015 WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 30-10-303, C.R.S., the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Eagle, State of Colorado ("Board") desires to establish and publish a schedule of the Board's regular meeting days for Fiscal Year 2015; and WHEREAS,pursuant to Section 30-10-109, C.R.S., the Board further desires to establish the days and office hours of the County of Eagle, State of Colorado, for Fiscal Year 2015, whereupon all County offices shall be kept open for the transaction of County business; and WHEREAS, the Board further desires to establish legal holidays for Fiscal Year 2015, during which all County offices shall be closed; and WHEREAS, the Eagle County Personnel Policy, as amended, provides that the Board determine on a year-by-year basis the legal holidays for which County employees shall be paid; and WHEREAS, the Board further desires to establish the Bi-Weekly Payroll Schedule for 2015. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF THE COUNTY OF EAGLE, STATE OF COLORADO: THAT, the Board hereby designates and adopts those dates designated as holidays in the attached Exhibit "A" as County legal holidays for Fiscal Year 2015, whereupon all County offices shall be officially closed for the transaction of County business. THAT, the Board hereby determines that said legal holidays be paid holidays for eligible Eagle County employees. THAT, except for said legal holidays, all County offices located in the County Seat of Eagle shall be kept open for the transaction of County business during the hours of 8:00 a.m. through 5:00 p.m. on Monday through Friday of each respective week in Fiscal Year 2015. 1 THAT, the Chairman of the Board or the County Manager is hereby delegated the authority to close all or part of the offices of the County due to storm or other emergency. The Chairman or Manager shall use his best efforts to notify the media of such closure. THAT, notwithstanding the foregoing, all Clerks of the Court and the Sheriff be subject at all times to the command of the people, and shall at all hours, night and day, be prepared to attend such duties as may reasonably be required by them. THAT, the Board hereby establishes and adopts the schedule of the Board's regular public meeting days for Fiscal Year 2014 as set forth in the attached Exhibit "B." THAT,until further notice, such regular public meetings of the Board shall be held in the Eagle County Room, Eagle County Building, 500 Broadway, Eagle, Colorado, or as to better serve the public interest, at the Mount Sopris Room, El Jebel Community Center, 0020 Eagle County Drive, El Jebel, Colorado. THAT, the Board may hold such special or emergency meetings and adopt such publication procedures therefore as the public interest may, in the opinion of the Board, require. THAT, copies of Exhibit"A" and Exhibit"B" be forthwith appropriately posted at County government buildings throughout the County and on the County website www.eaglecounty.us. THAT, the Board hereby finds, determines and declares that this Resolution is necessary for the public health, safety and welfare of the residents of the County of Eagle, State of Colorado. THAT, the Board further desires to establish the Bi-Weekly Payroll Schedule for 2015 as set forth in the attached Exhibit"C".
