BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
COUNTY OF EAGLE, STATE OF COLORADO
RESOLUTION NO.2000 -_�_T
CONCERNING APPOINTMENT TO THE
ROARING FORK TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY
WHEREAS, pursuant to Title 43, Article 4, Part 6, Colorado Revised Statutes, as
amended, the Roaring Fork Transportation Agency ("Authority") was formed on September 12,
2000 by an Intergovernmental Agreement including Eagle County; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to section 8.02(b) of the Intergovernmental Agreement, Directors
from the Roaring Fork Transit Agency ( "RFTA") shall be appointed to the Board of Directors of
the RFTA during the RFTA transition period; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Article Three of the Intergovernmental Agreement, each
Member of the Authority shall appoint a Director and an alternate Director to the Board of
Directors; and
WHEREAS, Michael Gallagher has been appointed the voting Director of the RFTA; and
WHEREAS, Tom C. Stone has been appointed the alternate voting Director of the RFTA.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF THE COUNTY OF EAGLE, STATE OF COLORADO:
THAT, Michael Gallagher is hereby appointed as Director to the Board of Directors of
the Authority.
THAT, Tom C. Stone is hereby appointed as alternate Director to the Board of Directors
of the Authority.
THAT, said terms shall begin with the first meeting of the Board of Directors and shall
continue until either the date on which a successor is duly appointed or the date on which he or
she ceases to be a member of the Eagle County governing body.
THAT, the Board finds, determines and declares that this Resolution is necessary for the
public health, safety and welfare of the citizens of the County of Eagle, State of Colorado.
