of the following Resolution:
BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
COUNTY OF EAGLE, STATE OF COLORADO
RESOLUTION NO.2000 - ,Z_Y?
CONCERNING APPOINTMENT TO THE
ROARING FORK TRANSIT AGENCY
WHEREAS, by Intergovernmental Agreement the City of Aspen and Pitkin County,
Colorado have provided for a member and one alternate of the Board of County Commissioners
of the County of Eagle, to serve on the Board of Directors of the Roaring Fork Transit Agency as
voting member of the Board subject to the requirements set forth in that Intergovernmental
Agreement; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the Intergovernmental Agreement signed by Eagle County and
local governmental entities on September 12, 2000, the Roaring Fork Transportation Agency
( "RTA ") was formed and will eventually take over the duties and responsibilities of the Roaring
Fork Transit Agency ( "RFTA "); and
WHEREAS, until such time, Eagle County will appoint voting Directors to both the
RFTA and the RTA; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Eagle County has elected Michael
Gallagher to serve as its voting Director of the RFTA; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Eagle County has elected Tom C.
Stone to serve as its alternate voting Director of the RFTA.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF THE COUNTY OF EAGLE, STATE OF COLORADO:
THAT, Michael Gallagher, be and is hereby appointed as Eagle County's voting Director
to RFTA.,
THAT, Tom C. Stone, be and is hereby appointed as Eagle County's alternate voting
Director to RFTA.
THAT, said terms shall begin at the signing of this resolution and expire on December
31, 2001.
THAT, the Board finds, determines and declares that this Resolution is necessary for the
public health, safety and welfare of the citizens of the County of Eagle, State of Colorado.
