BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
COUNTY OF EAGLE, STATE OF COLORADO
RESOLUTION NO.2000 -�
RESOLUTION AMENDING THE PROPERTY TAX WORK -OFF
PROGRAM FOR SENIORS
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 39 -3.7 -102, C.R.S., any taxing entity which levies and
collects real property taxes may establish a property tax work -off program in accordance with state
law which allows any taxpayer who is sixty years of age or older to perform work for the taxing
entity in lieu of the payment of any real property taxes, or portion thereof, due and owing on the
homestead of such taxpayer for any given property tax year; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners ( "Board ") wishes to provide the
opportunity to Senior residents of Eagle County to "work -off' their real property taxes; and
WHEREAS, by Resolution 99 -176 the Board set up a Senior Tax Work Off project; and
WHEREAS, the Board wishes to amend Resolution 99 -176 by increasing the hourly rate
paid to Seniors working in this Program to $9.00 per hour; and
WHEREAS, the Board wishes to further allow the maximum amount of reimbursement
under this program to $360.00; and
WHEREAS, the Board will set aside funds in its budget in order to provide funds for
administration and program expenses; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF THE COUNTY OF EAGLE, STATE OF COLORADO:.
THAT, Participants in the Program shall be paid at the hourly rate of $9.00 per hour,
effective for work completed after March 20, 2000.
THAT, the maximum gross pay a Senior shall receive under this program shall be $360.00,
or the amount of Eagle County property tax, whichever is less.
THAT, all other provisions of Resolution 99 -176 remain in full force and effect.

THAT, the Board hereby finds, determines and declares that this Resolution is necessary for
the public health, safety and welfare of the residents of the County of Eagle, State of Colorado.
MOVED, READ AND ADOPTED by the Board of County ommissioners of the County
of Eagle, State of Colorado, at its regular meeting held the�'day of
2000.
