BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
COUNTY OF EAGLE, STATE OF COLORADO
RESOLUTION NO 2013 - ( �Z
RESOLUTION CONCERNING APPOINTMENTS TO THE
EAGLE VALLEY LIBRARY DISTRICT BOARD OF TRUSTEES
WHEREAS, pursuant to C.S.R. 24-90-108(c), the legislative body of the respective
participating counties of the district shall appoint members to the library district board of
trustees; and
WHEREAS, Terry Smith, whose term expired December 31, 2013, has elected to
request reappointment on the Eagle Valley Library District Board of Trustees; and
WHEREAS, Terry Smith desires reappointment to the Eagle Valley Library District
Board of Trustees, and the Eagle Valley Library District has recommended the appointment
(letter of recommendation attached hereto as Exhibit A); and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Eagle County desires to reappoint
Terry Smith as Eagle County representatives to the Eagle Valley Library District Board of
Trustees; and
WHEREAS, the following appointments do not constitute contractual obligations of the
County of Eagle or the Board, and the County is not legally bound for the respective terms of
appointment as specified herein below, the County having the authority in its sole discretion to
change, add or abolish such appointment and to fill vacancies as it sees fit.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF THE COUNTY OF EAGLE, STATE OF COLORADO:
THAT, Terry Smith is hereby reappointed to the Eagle Valley Library District Board of
Trustees, term to expire December 31, 2018, or until such time as he/she is reappointed or
his/her successor has been appointed.
THAT, the Board of County Commissioners finds determines and declares that this
Resolution is necessary for the public health safety and welfare of the citizens of the County of
Eagle State of Colorado.
MOVED READ AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of the
County of Eagle State of Colorado at its regular meeting held the 51 day of 1),i"?f na 2013.

Dear Commissioners,
I am writing to request the re-appointment of Terry Smith as a board member for the
Eagle Valley Library District Board of Trustees. Her current term expires December 31,
2013. Terry has indicated that she would like to serve another term and the EVLD Board
recommends her retention as a trustee. She has shown dedication by regularly attending
meetings and participating in a variety of projects during her tenure.
Other current trustees are Mike Brown, Board President and Manager of Avon's Alpine
Bank, Lisa Tuthill,Board Vice-President and former owner of Columbine Market; and
Michael Warmuth, a battalion chief with the Eagle River Fire District. A recruitment is
currently underway to replace board member, Donna Blackmer, who resigned in
November.
