BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
COUNTY OF EAGLE STATE OF COLORADO
RESOLUTION NO 2012- Q7
CONCERNING APPOINTMENTS TO THE
EAGLE CEMETERY DISTRICT BOARD
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Eagle State of
Colorado (hereinafter "Board ") is authorized by C.R.S. §30 -20 -803 to make appointments to the
board of directors for cemetery districts; and
WHEREAS, Kathy Heicher was appointed to the Eagle Cemetery District Board for
a term expiring on September 30, 2012; and
WHEREAS, the Eagle Cemetery District Board has recommended the appointment
of John Boyd to the Eagle Cemetery District Board (letter of recommendation attached
hereto as Exhibit A); and
WHEREAS, the Board desires to make the aforementioned appointments to the
Eagle Cemetery District Board; and
WHEREAS, the following appointment does not constitute a contractual obligation of
the County of Eagle or of the Board of County Commissioners; and the County of Eagle and
the Board of County Commissioners are not legally bound for the respective terms of
appointment as specified herein. The Board of County Commissioners has the authority in its
sole discretion to change, add or abolish such appointments and to fill vacancies as it sees fit.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF THE COUNTY OF EAGLE STATE OF COLORADO:
THAT, John Boyd be and is hereby appointed to the Eagle Cemetery District Board
for a six year term said term to expire September 30, 2018 or until such time as he is
reappointed or his successor has been appointed.
THAT, the Board finds, determines and declares that this Resolution is necessary for the
public health, safety and welfare of the citizens of the County of Eagle State of Colorado.
MOVED READ AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of the

To: Eagle County Commissioners Fisher, Runyon and Stavney,
John Boyd has agreed to serve a six year term, ending 9/30/2018 on the Cemetery District
Board. He replaces Kathy Heicher whose term expired 9/30/2012.

John will join Marlene Kunkel (term ending 9/30/2016) and Patricia Hammon (term
ending 9/30/2014) to form the three member Board appointed by the Eagle County
Commissioners per Colorado Statute.
Marlene Kunkel has agreed to serve as president for 2013.
