BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
COUNTY OF EAGLE, STATE OF + COLORADO
RESOLUTION NO. 2012- t . 15
RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE AGREEMENT BETWEEN
EAGLE COUNTY AND
THE COLORADO DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION
FOR DISBURSEMENT OF FUNDS FOR THE ROW, DESIGN & CONSTRUCTION OF
THE CEDAR DRIVE IMPROVEMENTS
WHEREAS, Eagle County desires to improve Cedar Drive by performing road
resurfacing, guardrail installation, warning signage, and other mitigation measures to increase the
safety and operations on a 0.9 mile length of Cedar Drive, located in Section 8, Township 8
South, Range 86 West of the 6 Principal Meridian, County of Eagle, State of Colorado; and
WHEREAS, the Colorado Department of Transportation (hereinafter "CDOT ") has
selected this Project as eligible for Federal funding through the Hazard Elimination Safety
Program (hereinafter "HES ") administered by CDOT; and
WHEREAS, the total Project cost including right -of -way, design and construction is
estimated at $1,299,882; and
WHEREAS, ninety percent (90 %) of the participating costs ($1,169,893) are funded
from the HES; and
WHEREAS, Eagle County is providing the remaining ten percent (10 %) of the
participating costs ($129,989), through the Local Improvement District formed pursuant to
Eagle County Resolutions 2011 -084 and 2011 -116; and
WHEREAS, Eagle County agrees to assume the responsibilities of the Local Agency as
defined by the Grant Agreement (hereinafter the "Grant Agreement ") between CDOT and Eagle
County for the Project.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF THE COUNTY OF EAGLE, STATE OF COLORADO:
THAT, the Board of Eagle County Commissioners hereby authorizes the Chairman of
the Board to sign the Grant Agreement with CDOT.
THAT, this resolution is to be in full force and effect from and after its passage and
approval.
THAT, the board hereby finds, determines and declares that this Resolution is necessary
for the public health, safety and welfare of the residents of the County of Eagle, State of
Colorado.
MOVED, READ AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of the
County of Eagle, State of Colorado, at its regular meeting held this (6 day of /V 0 V , 2012.
