HomeMy WebLinkAboutR10-017 Appointing Independent Hearing Referee Abatement HearingsCommissioner ~ ~ moved adoption of the following olution: BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS COUNTY OF EAGLE, STATE OF COLORADO RESOLUTION NO. 2010 - ~~~ RESOLUTION APPOINTING AN INDEPENDENT HEARING REFEREE TO CONDUCT CERTAIN ABATEMENT HEARINGS ON THE BOARD'S BEHALF WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of C.R.S.ยง 39-1-113(1), the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Eagle, State of Colorado (hereinafter "Board") has the authority to appoint independent referees who are experienced in property valuation to conduct abatement hearings on behalf of the Board; and WHEREAS, at this time the Board is desirous of appointing one (1) referee to conduct abatement hearings, make findings and submit recommendations to the Board for its final action. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF THE COUNTY OF EAGLE, STATE OF COLORADO THAT, the Board hereby appoints Roy B. Howell, Jr. to sit as its referee from time to time and to conduct certain abatement hearings on behalf of the Board, to make findings, and to submit recommendations to the Board for its final decision. THAT, said referee shall serve at the pleasure of the Board and may be removed with or without good cause shown. THAT, said referee shall avoid any appearance of impropriety and shall disqualify himself if he has any close and/or direct relationship with the matter being heard. MOVED, READ AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Eagle, State of Colorado at its regular meeting held the ~- day of ~-- 2010.
