BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
COUNTY OF EAGLE, STATE OF COLORADO
RESOLUTION NO. 2009 - ��/5
CONCERNING AN APPOINTMENT
TO THE
MINTURN CEMETERY DISTRICT
BOARD OF DIRECTORS
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Eagle, State of
Colorado (hereinafter "Board ") is authorized Section 30 -20 -803, C.R.S. to make
appointments to the Board of Directors for cemetery districts; and
WHEREAS, Floyd Duran, whose term will expire on July 15, 2010, has elected to
resign, effective August 2009 from the Minturn Cemetery District Board of Directors.
WHEREAS, the Board desires to fill this vacancy at this time.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF THE COUNTY OF EAGLE, STATE OF COLORADO:
THAT, Mildred "Jay" Raiola be and is hereby appointed to fill vacant position to the
Minturn Cemetery District Board of Directors for a term commencing on September 1, 2009 and
expiring July 15, 2010, or until her successor has been appointed.
THAT, the Board finds, determines and declares that this Resolution is necessary for the
public health, safety and welfare of the citizens of the County of Eagle, State of Colorado.
MOVED, READ AND ADOPTED by the Board'f County Commissioners of the

Dear Commissioners,
I am writing to express my interest in serving on the board for the Minturn Cemetery District.
I have lived in Eagle County since 1984 and have owned a real estate brokerage in Minturn, My
Mountain Realtor, since 2007. Previously, I worked for the Colorado Judicial Department as a probation
officer in Eagle from 1988 -2001 and for the Colorado Division of Criminal Justice as a trainer from 1999-
2008.
1 have grown to appreciate Minturn and its people and have become very active in the community,
starting with volunteering at the Senior citizen's lunch. In March 2008, 1 helped re -form the Minturn -Red
Cliff Business Association and currently serve as President. My work with MRBA involves ongoing
communication and cooperation with other businesses and the town government in order to promote
business as well as community spirit. I would be privileged to continue my service to the community as a
member of the Cemetery Board.
